Vitor Roque’s agent claims Barca didn’t want Brazilian star to move to Palmeiras

Vitor Roque’s agent Andre Cury has claimed Barcelona weren’t too keen on letting the Brazilian leave the club this winter.

Cury has opened up on the deal and says Barcelona hadn’t wanted him to go.

> “If it depended on Barcelona, the answer would be ‘no’. So I met with Anderson and Leo Holanda, and together with a lawyer in Madrid, we pressed the matter and managed to get a favourable opinion from FIFA,” he told UOL.

>

> “Palmeiras decided to bet on Vitor Roque and Barcelona spoke with La Liga and the Federation and they wouldn’t let them.

>

> “We did some parallel work, together with Barcelona and with the help of FIFA and we managed to make the deal,” he revealed.

Cury also said that Vitor Roque needed some convincing and insisted once again that the youngster could still enjoy a career in Europe at some point in the future.

> “Vitor can play two, three or four seasons at Palmeiras and then return to Europe and also to the Brazilian national team,” he added.

>

> “At first he didn’t want to because he was already in Europe, but I told him what happened with Henrique and Keirrison; A huge club in Europe buys the player and then has no room for him and starts to loan him out by clubs.”
