Arsenal have added Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes to their list of transfer targets, according to reports.
The Brazilian has been on the club’s radar in the past but talkSPORT claim that the Gunners have revived their interest in the player.

Guimaraes was a standout figure as he led his Newcastle side to victory in the Carabao Cup final last weekend and, while fans on X would like to see him at the Emirates, not everyone believes he is a realistic signing:
He’d be immense next to Rice.

Arsenal are prioritising a move for another midfielder
Guimaraes is undoubtedly a very good player. He was described as “exceptional” by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola not that long ago.
However, he would be an expensive purchase, and Mikel Arteta’s side are already in advanced talks to sign Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.
The Spanish international will cost £50m if his release clause is triggered and it’s unlikely that there would be room in the budget to recruit Guimaraes too
Guimaraes is not the only Newcastle player who the Gunners want
While the Brazilian international has caught the eye for the Magpies, Arsenal would probably prefer to land his teammate Alexander Isak if they had a choice.
Bringing in a No.9 of the 25-year-old’s quality could be a game-changer, as Arteta seeks to find that little bit extra to transform his team from challengers into champions.
