Ineos have been involved with Manchester United for over a year and their rebuild of the first-team is still ongoing.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has been introducing cost-cutting measures in a bold attempt to raise funding at Manchester United that will eventually contribute to rebuilding the team and building a new 100,000-capacity stadium.
The Ineos chief has talked the talk since his arrival as part-owner of United was firmed in February 2024. This has led to multiple difficult decisions, with some impacting the club’s most loyal supporters, including season ticket rises.
This has led to Manchester United fan group The 1958 arranging more protests against the Glazer family.
It remains to be seen if Ruben Amorim will have sufficient funds to sign new players in the summer, but United fans know that the head coach needs different players to reach future objectives.
United welcomed two new faces to the squad in January as Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu signed before the transfer deadline.
It is understood that Amorim is planning to add more defensive reinforcements at the end of the season.

Manchester United still want Jarrad Branthwaite
After making several offers to Everton last summer, United were unable to reach an agreement that would’ve seen Jarrad Branthwaite switch Goodison Park for Old Trafford.
More United News
The 22-year-old has endured a challenging season with Everton which included another relegation scare.
However, the Toffees have turned things around since replacing Sean Dyche with David Moyes and it looks like they will be enjoying Premier League football in their new stadium next season.
According to The Sun, Manchester United are ready to meet Branthwaite’s £50m-plus valuation, which is considerably less than what Everton demanded last year for his signature.
The report adds that a deal is dependent on whether United win the Europa League to achieve Champions League football.
One would assume that is due to United’s financial situation more than Branthwaite’s preference because qualifying for the Champions League – and winning the Europa League – would mean extra funds for the club.
Otherwise, to sign Branthwaite, United will need to sell players.
What’s next for Jarrad Branthwaite?
After being a surprise omission from Thomas Tuchel’s first England squad, Branthwaite has some time off to relax and assess his options for the future.
Branthwaite will be focused on finishing the season strongly to keep his potential suitors interested, with Tottenham understood to be another Premier League club keen on a deal for the English centre-back.
Everton face a tricky run in between now and the end of the season, with a trip to Liverpool on the cards when the domestic season resumes.
It is likely to be Branthwaite’s final Merseyside derby before the Toffees take on Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Man City and Chelsea.
