Cristiano Ronaldo sent a warning to Denmark after Rasmus Hojlund copied his celebration in their Nations League win over Portugal
Cristiano Ronaldo sent a warning to Denmark following Rasmus Hojlund's winner against his Portugal side in the Nations League quarter-finals, which saw him copy his iconic celebration. The former Manchester United star told his team-mates they have "90 minutes to turn this around" after their 1-0 defeat.
Ronaldo played the full 90 minutes against the Danes but was unable to inspire his side as they look to overhaul the deficit in the second leg in Portugal this weekend.
Instead, a current United star in Hojlund grabbed the winner in the 78th minute - and Ronaldo might have been irked after the forward mimicked the trademark "Siuu" celebration he has become renowned for.
The celebration usually sees Ronaldo spring to a corner of a stadium before leaping up and lifting his arms in the air before bringing them back down to his sides.
But Ronaldo appeared unmoved by Hojlund's antics on social media, as he sent a post warning Denmark that Portugal were eager to make things right in the second leg. He said: "We have 90 minutes to turn around," he said on Instagram in Portuguese. In a warning to Denmark's players, he added: "Roll on Portugal!"

The Al-Nassr forward had a difficult night as he failed to register a shot on target, and didn't successfully complete a single dribble or cross. Hojlund, meanwhile, scored for the second game running after he also scored in Manchester United's 3-0 win over Leicester last time out.
It hasn't been an easy season for the 22-year-old, who only has three goals in the Premier League from 24 outings, but he explained that he was overcome with joy after scoring the winner against his childhood hero's side.

"I’m playing against the world’s best footballer, my idol," He told Fotbollskanalen while explaining his celebration. "And to score a goal and win the match... it couldn’t be better."
The second leg will take place in just a few days time on Sunday, with Ronaldo eager to make amends for his poor display in the first leg. He has 20 goals this season for Al-Nassr, including four in his last five games for the Saudi Pro League club.
