NEWCASTLE United will celebrate their historical Carabao Cup final success at a free open-air event on the Town Moor, it has been confirmed.

The event, taking place next Saturday, March 29, will give supporters the chance to see Eddie Howe and the players with the trophy for the first time since last Sunday's victory at Wembley.

Fans need to register in advance but Newcastle say registration does not guarantee access.

The event will be set around a large main stage on the Town Moor, adjacent to the Great North Road, and will feature a DJ, live band and 'Road to Wembley' highlights. The final will be screened in full on a big screen.

Special guests have been lined up and will feature before Howe and his players take to the stage.

The team will then proudly lift the Carabao Cup, presenting the club’s first domestic trophy for 70 years to the city.

Newcastle say: "The celebrations will close with a spectacular show from club partner Sela and further event details will be published ahead of the show."

Supporters must register their interest to attend online, with phased priority for fans opening on Friday afternoon.

Season ticket holders can register from 1pm on Friday before registration opens for Mags/Mags + Members at 3pm.

All other supporters can register from 10am on Saturday.

Newcastle said in a statement: "Once your priority period opens you will have the opportunity to register your interest until midnight on Sunday 23 March.

"Registration is one per supporter number. Adults will be able to add one junior ticket to their registration with the adult supporter number.

"Registrations must be submitted via book.newcastleunited.com. No email/telephone/ in-person registrations can be accepted.

"Registering your interest does not guarantee you access to the event. Further details will follow to those that register their interest with the club.

"We do expect traffic to the website to be high and thank our supporters in advance for their patience."

More information and FAQs can be found on the club's website.
