Everton are well-placed to complete a deal for West Brom winger Tom Fellows this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that David Moyes is a driving force behind the deal as he plans to strengthen his squad out wide this summer.

An agreement had been reached with “huge talent” Fellows on transfer deadline day at the end of the January window, but the two clubs could not finalise a fee.

Following the deal’s collapse, Football Insider revealed that Everton are planning to return for Fellows when they will be more willing to meet a lofty asking price.

West Brom are currently aiming for promotion from the Championship, which would derail Everton’s pursuit of the 21-year-old, but he is expected to leave if they miss out.

Widely regarded as one of the best young talents in the EFL, Fellows leads the league in assists with 11, and remains a key target for Moyes’ side.

Everton chase Tom Fellows after Jack Harrison latest

Everton’s pursuit of a new winger comes amid questions about the futures of their current wide options, both of whom are currently on loan.

Football Insider revealed on 14 February that Moyes will decide Jesper Lindstrom’s future as they have been given the opportunity to complete a deal with Napoli.

Meanwhile, former West Ham scout Mick Brown, who worked closely with Moyes at the London Stadium, told Football Insider that Jack Harrison will leave Everton.

As a result, Fellows has risen to the top of their list of targets while they are also considering deals for a number of other wingers ahead of the window.

David Moyes eyes new centre-back signing after Celtic twist

As well as their ambitions to sign a new winger this summer, the Toffees are seeking to bolster their squad as a whole under Moyes’ guidance.

One key position is at centre-back, as former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson told Football Insider Everton want to sign Cameron Carter-Vickers from Celtic.

This comes amid concerns about the future of Michael Keane, who is out of contract and expected to leave the club in June.

However, Brown told Football Insider that Celtic are not prepared to sell Carter-Vickers this summer and will knock back any advances unless they represent a significant fee.
