Obr Daily Mock Draft: Adding a Rising Quarterback in the Second Round

247Sports Embed Resource

CLEVELAND-- General Manager Andrew Berry and the Cleveland Browns enter the draft with 12 total picks, including the highly coveted second overall selection. Along with their own selections, the Browns hold a third-round pick from Buffalo (acquired in the Amari Cooper trade), a fifth-round pick from Detroit (via the Za'Darius Smith trade), a sixth-round pick from Minnesota (also from the Smith deal), and a sixth-round pick from Chicago (acquired for defensive tackle Chris Williams).

With the NFL Combine now behind them, Berry and the Browns shift their focus to pro days and official visits. While evaluating draft prospects remains a priority, Berry has solidified the team's defensive cornerstone, as star pass rusher Myles Garrett recently signed an extension to remain in Cleveland. With Garrett locked in, the Browns can focus on building around their core and maximizing their draft capital to strengthen the roster.

2. Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado

6'1" 223 lbs

While Cleveland could draft a quarterback at two, the main takeaway of my trip in Indianapolis is that Andrew Berry is all in on adding a player like Travis Hunter to the Browns roster. Berry would favor Hunter as a wide receiver, but Hunter told reporters on Thursday he'd like to play both positions.

33. Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

6'2" 225 lbs

Jalen Milroe makes sense for the Browns because his strong arm fits well with Cleveland's vertical passing concepts and play-action game. His 4.37 speed at Alabama's Pro Day adds a unique dual-threat element that could elevate the offense. With his athleticism and big-play ability, Milroe could thrive in a system built around a strong running game and explosive downfield throws.

67.Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State

6' 219 lbs

Judkins is a powerful, downhill runner with impressive vision and contact balance, making him a strong candidate for an impactful NFL career. His combination of physicality and burst allows him to excel between the tackles, while his improving receiving ability could make him a three-down back at the next level.

94. Elijah Arroyo, TE, Miami

6'4" 240 lbs

The Browns targeting Miami tight end Elijah Arroyo in the draft would make a lot of sense as they look to add depth behind David Njoku. Arroyo is an athletic, versatile tight end with the ability to stretch the field and contribute as a blocker. Injuries limited his college production, but his upside is evident when healthy. With the Browns utilizing multiple tight end sets, Arroyo could develop into a key rotational piece and a potential long-term contributor in Cleveland's offense.

102. Ajani Cornelius, OL, Oregon

6'5" 310 lbs

A physically gifted lineman with strong hands and quick feet, Cornelius showed impressive development after transferring to Oregon. His versatility allows him to play both tackle spots, making him an ideal fit for Cleveland's scheme

165. Danny Stutsman, LB, Oklahoma

6'4" 243 lbs

Oklahoma linebacker Danny Stutsman is a high-energy, physical defender who could be a great fit for the Browns' linebacker corps in the upcoming NFL Draft. With his aggressive play style and strong tackling ability, he'd add much-needed depth to Cleveland's defense if they choose to target him.

192. Elijah Roberts, DT, SMU

6'4" 278 lbs

His ability to play inside and on the edge, combined with his high motor and disruptive potential, makes him a strong fit for Cleveland's defensive scheme.

200. Justin Walley, CB, Minnesota

5'10" 190 lbs

Minnesota cornerback Justin Walley could be a solid addition to the Browns' secondary, bringing physicality and strong ball skills. His versatility and aggressive playing style make him a great fit for Cleveland's defense.

204. Pat Bryant, WR, Illinois

Bryant is known for his size, route-running, and ability to make contested catches. A key target in Illinois' passing attack, Bryant has shown the ability to stretch the field while also being a reliable option in the short and intermediate game.

216. Gerad Christian-Lichtenhan, OT, Oregon State

6'9" 328 lbs

Standing at 6'10", he uses his massive frame to create leverage in both pass protection and run blocking.

217. Patrick Jenkins, DT, Tulane

6'2" 293 lbs

A disruptive defensive tackle for Tulane, Jenkins provides strength and explosiveness along the interior defensive line.

242. Jake Majors, OL, Texas

6'3" 315lbs

Known for his intelligence, leadership, and ability to anchor the middle of the line.

257. Tonka Hemingway, DT, South Carolina

6'2" 284 lbs

Tonka Hemmingway may not be an overwhelming athlete or possess standout power for the position, and his frame could be considered underweight. However, his flexibility, strong club and rip techniques, and ability to survive doubles while making plays on the ball carrier demonstrate that he is a skilled football player.
