Top European clubs including Manchester City, Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan want Liverpool star Luis Diaz during the summer. Diaz has played regularly under Arne Slot but continues to struggle with recurring problems of inconsistency in producing regular outputs.
The 28-year-old started the season strongly and scored regular goals, also playing as a make-shift number-nine for Liverpool under Slot. Diaz scored a fantastic hattrick against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League during the first half of the current season.
However, the Colombian has only scored one goal and provided two assists from 18 matches in all competitions in 2025. Paris Saint-Germain eliminated Liverpool from the Champions League Round of 16 last week, causing them to suffer immensely.

The scrutiny is stronger for the players who have stayed beyond the last two seasons and continue to display inconsistencies. Liverpool’s attack lacked an outlet and failed to create regular clear-cut chances as defenders marked out Mohamed Salah.
While the Kopites immensely adore Diaz, many have wondered if he fits the team’s requirements. Furthermore, there is a recurring question about the language barrier as Diaz has all the qualities to be more productive.

According to the Colombian news outlet Antena 2 (via DaveOCKOP/X), Man City, Barcelona, Paris SG and Milan want to lure Diaz away from Liverpool next summer. Given his struggles yet the demand from all of these top clubs including the Saudi Pro League club, parting ways is a mutually beneficial decision.
