The 21-year-old missed three games with a knee injury that he sustained early on in the Blues’ 1-1 draw away at Aston Villa, returning in a narrow defeat to Crystal Palace just under three weeks later.
It allowed him to feature for Paraguay in the March international break, starting in last night’s World Cup qualifying victory against Chile.
Asked by ESPN’s [Roberto Rojas](https://x.com/RobertoRojas97) how it feels to be so close to next summer’s tournament in North America after his recent injury at Town, Enciso said: “The truth is that, every time you see me in a national team shirt, it’s different.
“I thank God that I’m having a very good time, where I’m regaining confidence here with the national team.
“I’m really happy and thrilled with the victory.”
In a separate interview with [Unicanal](https://x.com/Unicanal/status/1902930584042635774), Enciso was quick to thank the crowd of more than 30,000 fans who came to watch the game in Asunción last night.

Their 1-0 victory was hard-fought, but extends their unbeaten run to seven games. As a result, they have opened up a seven-point gap on Bolivia in the final play-off spot, putting them in a great position to qualify for their first World Cup since 2010.
“I'm very happy, first of all, for the victory,” Enciso enthused. “We dedicated it to our fans; they were really great out there, supporting us.
“We've had continued support since we left Ypané, and I honestly don't have words to thank everyone who was going to give it their all at the stadium
“It turned out, well. I think we’ve got to 20 points now.
“It was a great game. I really want to congratulate my teammates as well, we put in a lot of work, it's incredible.
“We have to keep going like this and improve the details that we need to improve. But it was a very difficult game.
“Chile also has their strengths, and so do we. It was a very close game. We were able to pull off the win, that's the most important thing.
“It's unique every time I play for the national team. It's a dream of mine and I always try to give it my all.”
