Dan Burn of England looks on as the England squad depart St George's Park
Dan Burn could make his international debut when England play Albania at Wembley Stadium
Dan Burn could be one of three Newcastle United players that feature when England play Albania in their first match since Thomas Tuchel became the senior men's head coach.
Burn, 32, has never previously received an England call-up, but this month joins Anthony Gordon and Tino Livramento in the 26-player squad. Gordon can play for the Three Lions despite still being suspended for Newcastle's next match and has started all but one of their games since the European Championship.
Livramento also lined up alongside him in the last of those fixtures to make his senior debut, and Burn will hope to do likewise. Here are all the details you need to know before England's first World Cup qualifier.
How to watch England vs Albania
England are due to host Albania at 7:45pm on Friday, 21 March, as Uefa qualifying for the 2026 World Cup begins in earnest. ITV will broadcast the match live on channel 3 or in HD on channel 103 across Freesat, Freeview, Sky and Virgin Media.
STV are also airing the coverage in Scotland. Streaming services, ITVX and STV Player, will also show all the action, which are also available on Sky Go and Virgin TV Go. At the same time, fellow Group K teams Andorra and Latvia will play in the Pyrenees mountains. Serbia are the fifth team in this group.
However, they are playing a two-legged Nations League promotion/relegation play-off against Austria this month to decide whether they remain in League A or drop to League B. As such, England will host Latvia on Monday, with Albania also simultaneously welcoming Andorra to the Balkans.
Serbia will start their qualifying campaign in Tirana this summer before hosting Andorra later in June. England only play one qualifier this summer, against the latter in the Pyrenees mountains. Their other game is a friendly versus Senegal at Nottingham Forest's City Ground.
