Radu Dragusin’s agent fuels fresh transfer speculation over Tottenham exit
Tottenham are heading towards the end of the 2024/25 season with little more than disappointment, presently finding themselves in 14th position in the Premier League, with only Europa League football to fight for. Dragusin, having joined the club last year, had a hard time earning opportunities and was nearly stuck in the same capacity as Sergio Reguilón.
Due to the intense injury crisis, Tottenham had no choice but to utilize him as a player, and Dragusin performed well enough to show he belonged in the first team, before suffering an unfortunate injury that sidelined him.

Dragusin’s limited game time quickly caught the attention of Serie A giants Napoli and Juventus, both keen to strengthen their defensive options. Rather than shutting down speculation, Dragusin’s agent, Florian Manea has consistently fuelled media discussions about interest from Italy.
In one of his interviews, he refused to dismiss the possibility of a future move if Dragusin’s playing time remained limited. Just as the Romanian defender was building momentum, misfortune struck… he suffered an injury that required surgery, ruling him out for the rest of the season. His return is now expected towards the end of 2025.
Dragusin’s agent keeps door open for potential departure
As the summer transfer window nears, Manea has reignited speculation. In his latest interview with Stile TV, reported by Per Sempre Calcio, he acknowledged Napoli’s past interest and left the door open for a potential return to Italy.
He also fuelled further rumours by suggesting that every player dreams of working under a manager like Antonio Conte, who currently leads the Italian giants.
“He misses Italy, who knows, he might even come back in the future. But at the moment the strongest league is the English one, so it’s hard to say that it’s not a pleasure to play there.
“Yes, Napoli were interested. I also spoke to De Laurentiis, who was very kind. But it was too late: Tottenham had already started negotiations a month earlier and then Bayern Munich also got involved. In the end, the boy chose Spurs.

Will Daniel Levy give up on Radu Dragusin?
Manea’s constant public statements have not sat well with those at Tottenham, including former Spurs scout Bryan King. A few months ago, King voiced his frustration over the agent’s media antics, emphasising that Dragusin and Manea were fully aware of the role the defender signed up for.

Despite his agent’s frequent media presence, Dragusin remains under contract at Spurs and is focused on his recovery before competing for a place in the squad next season. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham will continue tolerating Manea’s repeated transfer hints or take a firmer stance on the defender’s future.
