Warriors’ Steve Kerr Offers Massive Update on Steph Curry Following Scary Injury

The Golden State Warriors inched out a win over the Toronto Raptors on Thursday but the entire organization had their focus on something else. During the game star point guard Stephen Curry left due to an injury that he suffered.

Curry took a hard fall and the injury didn't look too great at first glance. The star exited the game and didn't return.

After the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr offered an update on the star guard. Kerr said that Curry would be getting an MRI on his pelvic and tailbone area but that the star wanted to return to the game.

However, Golden State wanted to be cautious with Curry so they stopped that entirely.

"He was trying to come back, he thought he might be able to come back and we just decided not to risk anything. Hopefully, it's not bad but he's getting imaging right now."

The hope is that the injury isn't too bad for Curry and the fact that he wanted to return could be a good sign. But we should know more details soon following this injury.

Golden State should be careful with Curry as the playoffs start in just a few weeks. This team needs him on the court if they want to do any damage in the postseason and they have been on a roll of late.

The Warriors have won nine of their past 10 games overall and it's seen them jump up to No. 6 in the Western Conference standings. This team has its sights on another deep playoff run but they need Curry to be healthy.

Even if it means sacrificing a few regular season games, Golden State believes that if they enter the postseason healthy, they can take anyone down. Curry is the leader of this squad and if he does have to miss time, others will be there to help pick up the slack.

Since the acquisition of star forward Jimmy Butler, the Warriors have looked like a very different team. Butler has given them new life and there is a certain energy buzzing throughout the Warriors locker room now.

This team was on the verge of a wasted season but Butler has given them another go-to type of player next to Curry. Golden State should have some say in how the West shakes out this season and nobody will want to face them in the playoffs.
