The Giants are rounding out their wide receiver room.
General manager Joe Schoen on Friday signed ex-Broncos wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey to a one-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Humphrey, 26, is a six-year NFL veteran who entered the league as an undrafted (from Texas) free agent with the Saints in 2019. He spent three years with the Saints from 2019 to 2021, one season with the Patriots in 2022 and the last two seasons with the Broncos.

He has an impressive 6-foot-4, 225-pound frame, but little production to show for it. He’s hauled 770 yards on 62 catches and 92 targets in his career.
He had a career year in Denver last season, catching 293 yards, 12 first down catches on 31 receptions. Broncos rookie QB Bo Nix connected with Humphrey on a long 41-yard touchdown pass in Denver’s win over the Falcons in mid-November. Here’s a plus for the Giants: Broncos coach Sean Payton — Humphrey’s coach for five of his six seasons — has lauded the former Texas wideout for his blocking skills.
Humphrey joins a Giants wide receivers room that features Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton, Wan’Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, Bryce Ford-Wheaton and Ihmir Smith-Marsette.
The Giants went 3-14 last season. They’ll need more help than Humphrey if they want to right their rebuild.
