Stats Show How Luka Doncic Has Been Dominating In March

This will be a season that Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers never forgets.

At the beginning of February, his entire life was turned upside down when he was traded to the Lakers.

Since then, he has been playing dazzling basketball.

As noted by Evan Sidery, Doncic has averaged 30.2 points, 9.2 assists, 8.9 rebounds, and 2.1 steals during the month of March.

He has a true shooting percentage of 58.7 during that time and has been sinking 40.2 percent of his threes.

“It’s still unbelievable how the Mavericks really gave away a generational talent to the Lakers,” Sidery wrote and many LA fans happily agree.

The Lakers were already trending upward before they received Doncic, but he took them to a whole other level.

Doncic really is a generational talent and one of the best players alive.

It was assumed the Dallas Mavericks would hold onto him forever unless he demanded a trade.

Instead, they initiated the biggest and most controversial deal of this NBA generation and people will be talking about it for some time.

Doncic took a moment to adjust to his new team, but he has found his form and footing during March.

He is currently playing without LeBron James and has taken advantage of that, handling the ball more, finding better chemistry with other teammates, and embracing his role as floor general.

This could help the Lakers when James does come back and could position them for a powerful run in the playoffs.

No matter how this season ends, Lakers fans are excited for what is ahead because Doncic is looking like his regular self again, and that is very bad news for the rest of the league.
