United have rewarded one of their “originals” with a new contract lasting until 2028, ten years after the Manchester United women’s team was established, back in 2018.

Speaking of her extension, the women’s team manager Marc Skinner commented: “Millie has been here since the beginning, and she is an important part of the team.”
He continued: “She’s part of my leadership group but I still think there is even more growth to come. We have unfinished business and aspirations for success, she is hungry to keep improving and a key person in driving the high standards we have here as a club.”
The club’s interim head of women’s football, Matt Johnson also praised the centre-back, commenting: “As a product of the United Academy and part of the original squad back in 2018, Millie is still so important to the squad today.”
He continued: “As a true Red, Millie brings enthusiasm and positivity to the squad off the pitch and her performances on the pitch have consistently proven she is one of the best centre backs in the WSL. Retaining talent like Millie is crucial to our future success.”
Turner was the third United women player to reach 100 appearances for the club after Ella Toone and Katie Zelem, with the recent praise and extension showing how vital she is to the women’s team.
