Jim Harbaugh, Chargers Predicted to Pair Ohio State Star with Justin Herbert

Jim Harbaugh and the Los Angeles Chargers have brought in Najee Harris at running back in NFL free agency. However, there is still room for more improvement in the backfield.

Justin Herbert is one of the most talented quarterbacks in the league. He simply needs more help in order to take the Chargers on a deep run in the postseason.

Adding more talent in the backfield would take a lot of pressure off of Herbert. Harris is a solid addition, but Los Angeles could think even bigger.

In fact, there is new prediction that would have Harbaugh and the Chargers bringing in a dynamic running back out of Ohio State in the 2025 NFL draft.

Luke Easterling of Athlon Sports has unveiled a new four-round mock draft following the free agency frenzy dying down. In that mock draft, he has Los Angeles bringing in Quinshon Judkins in the second round at No. 55 overall.

Harbaugh would be bringing in a member of the former enemy. As most fans know, Harbaugh was the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines before joining the Chargers.

Judkins is coming off of a strong season where he helped lead the Buckeyes to a national championship.

While splitting carries with fellow 2025 draft prospect TreVeyon Henderson, Judkins racked up 1,060 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns on 194 carries. Those numbers average out to an impressive 5.5 yards per carry.

In addition to his rushing numbers, Judkins also made an impact as a receiver out of the backfield. He caught 22 passes for 161 yards and two more touchdowns.
