In a battle of two teams that won’t make the playoffs, the San Antonio Spurs host the Philadelphia 76ers tonight at the Frost Bank Center. The Spurs enter with a record of 29-39, which has them in the 13th spot in the Western Conference. The Sixers are in the 12th spot in the Eastern Conference with a record of 23-46.
The Spurs have actually won three of their last five games. In their latest outing, San Antonio crushed the New York Knicks by a final score of 125-109. The Spurs led by 28 points in the first half before cruising to victory in the fourth quarter.
The Sixers have lost two straight games and five of their last six contests. In their latest performance, Philadelphia got annihilated by the Oklahoma City Thunder by a final score of 133-100.
San Antonio Spurs Injury Update
The only player listed on the injury report for the Spurs is Charles Bassey. The backup center remains sidelined with a knee injury. Of course, Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox are out for the season due to a blood clot and finger surgery, respectively.
Philadelphia 76ers Injury Update
Injuries have been the story of the season for the 76ers. First of all, Joel Embiid and Paul George are out for the rest of the season. The superstars dealt with injuries for the majority of the 2024-25 campaign.
Joining Embiid and George as out for the rest of the season are rookie Jared McCain and veteran Eric Gordon. Other players who will miss tonight’s contest against the Spurs are Tyrese Maxey, Kelly Oubre Jr, Kyle Lowry, Andre Drummond and Adem Bona.
Former Spurs player Lonnie Walker IV is listed as probable due to a concussion.

In 19 minutes against the Knicks, Mamukelashvili had 34 points on 13-of-14 shooting from the field, including 7-for-7 from three-point territory.
On the season, the native of the Republic of Georgia has been shooting the ball with high precision. In 47 games, Mamukelashvili is shooting 53.9% from the field, 42.9% from three-point range and 73.7% from the free throw line. In just 9.1 minutes per game, the big man is averaging 5.6 points and 2.6 rebounds.
