The Buffalo Bills know how important having a veteran wide receiver is for a team competing for championships.
During the early runs of the Josh Allen era, the Bills relied on All-Pro wideout Stefon Diggs to carry them at times. Following the trade of the disgruntled wideout, though, the Bills have been trying to find a quality receiver to replace his production.
Kahlil Shakir, Keon Coleman, and the recently signed Joshua Palmer are a solid trio, but having a veteran certainly puts this group over the top. Especially with a league MVP in Josh Allen leading the way.
One available free agent is exactly the kind of player Buffalo needs as well.
His name? Keenan Allen.

"At 32 years old, Allen should look to play for a contender. With just five playoff games in his 12-year career, the six-time Pro Bowler needs a team that can get him to Super Bowl LX," Yardbarker's Bruce Ewing said. "Allen would fit perfectly on the Bills, where QB Josh Allen recently won the NFL's MVP award. Allen has missed 16 games over the past five seasons but would bring a 17-game average of 1,245 yards and seven touchdowns to a team without a 1,000-yard receiver last season."
Allen is well past his prime at this point. He's 32 years old, and will most likely need a limited role to remain a top player for whoever signs him.
The Bills can cover that kind of role, though. And in an AFC with the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens getting better, the Bills will need all the help they can get at this point.
