Rams Draft Cooper Kupp’s Replacement in Joel Klatt’s NFL Mock Draft

The Los Angeles Rams have made the NFL Playoffs twice since their 2021 Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Another thing that has changed since then is that the Rams released Cooper Kupp this offseason. The franchise signed former New York Jets and Las Vas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams as a potential Kupp replacement.

On a recent episode of "The Joel Klatt Show," Joel Klatt conducted a 2025 NFL Mock Draft, having the Rams take Ohio State Buckeyes wideout Emeka Ebguka with the 26th overall pick.

Egbuka is the No. 28 overall prospect and No. 3 wide receiver in the CBS Sports 2025 NFL Draft Prospect Rankings.

"Sean McVay getting a really smart, talented wide receiver that's a great route runner," Klatt said. "Catches it really well and is experienced. Emeka Egbuka with Sean McVay and Stafford and those guys. Like, I think that works. He can occupy the slot if you want him to. He can go outside, he's very creative in his route running, he's a technician, he's a great leader. He's a guy you want in your locker room."

Egbuka finished second on Ohio State with 1,011 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns last season. The only receiver who finished with more yards was true freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith (1,315).

Egbuka helped lead Ohio State to the National Championship Game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Ohio State was the No. 8 seed in the College Football Playoff and beat Notre Dame 28-14 to claim its sixth national title in program history.

The Rams won the NFC West in 2024 and made the NFL Playoffs. They lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 28-22 in the Divisional round.

The 2025 NFL Draft will be in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 24-26.
