Pacers Injury Report: Tyrese Haliburton in Danger of Missing Rematch vs Nets

The Indiana Pacers will be taking on the Brooklyn Nets once again on Saturday as they look to keep the winning going strong. Indiana took down the Nets on Thursday in an overtime thriller, sending their fans into a full frenzy.

But as they get set for this game, the Pacers could once again be without their star guard. Tyrese Haliburton has again landed on the injury report heading into this contest and he is being listed as questionable.

Haliburton has been dealing with a back injury and it has sidelined him for a few games. The guard has missed the last three games for the Pacers and could be in danger of missing this one as well.

The All-Star guard has been in and out of the lineup and it's sent the Pacers offense out of rhythm at times. Indiana relies on Haliburton to give them a true go-to option on the offensive end of the floor so his absence can be heavily felt.

For the year, he has averaged 18.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 9.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. Haliburton has battled inconsistency all year long but he has picked things up lately when on the floor.

The Pacers guard changes everything for this team and without him, opponents can limit the explosive Indiana offense more easily. In the previous game against the Nets, Brooklyn took advantage of Haliburton missing and jumped out to an early lead on Indiana.

If Haliburton is forced to miss another game, it could heavily affect where the Pacers land in the playoff picture. Indiana is fighting for playoff positioning right now and they need everyone on the floor as the regular season winds down.

The Pacers are currently slotted as the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference playoff picture, holding a record of 40-29 for the year. They own a full one-game lead over the Milwaukee Bucks right now for the No. 4 seed so every game becomes increasingly more crucial.

Indiana reached the Eastern Conference Finals a year ago and they will be looking to duplicate that success this season. But if Haliburton continues to miss games, their path could be much tougher.

We should know the official status of Haliburton as we get closer to tip-off tomorrow.
