Steelers Predicted to Make Another Big Quarterback Move Amid Aaron Rodgers Rumors

The Pittsburgh Steelers are still waiting for Aaron Rodgers to make a decision about where he'll play in 2025, but the AFC North contenders could have another quarterback in their sights.

Rodgers is still mulling over his options after being released by the New York Jets earlier this offseason, with the Steelers emerging as a frontrunner for the All-Pro quarterback.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reporter Gerry Dulac shared that Rodgers paid a visit to Pittsburgh on March 21 to meet with the team's top brass, but does not have a timeline in mind on when he'll make a decision.

"Sources have cautioned a commitment from Rodgers may not come today, if at all, and he is just visiting with coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan," Dulac shared in a post on X.

The Steelers may not be waiting for Rodgers to make a decision. Athlon Sports draft expert Luke Easterling predicted the Steelers would use their first-round draft pick to find their quarterback of the future, even if Rodgers will take the helm in the immediate future.

Easterling noted that Dart has what it takes to grow into a starting NFL quarterback.

"I know this probably feels too much like Kenny Pickett, but Dart has physical tools that Pickett just couldn't bring to the table in Pittsburgh," Easterling wrote. "He's got the arm talent, anticipation and athleticism to become a successful starter with the right supporting cast, and he'd be an instant upgrade for the Steelers."
