Ex-NBA Player Makes Bold Draymond Green Statement After Warriors’ Recent Win

The Golden State Warriors pulled off a gritty 117-114 win over the Toronto Raptors improving their record to 41-29.

The victory kept them in the thick of the Western Conference playoff race, but it wasn't without its challenges.

Stephen Curry took a hard fall in the third quarter, suffering a pelvic contusion that forced him out of the game.

While initial tests didn't indicate a serious injury, his status remains up in the air for the team's upcoming road trip.

With Curry sidelined, veteran Jimmy Butler stepped up in a big way, notching a triple-double with 16 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists.

Draymond Green also delivered a crucial performance, leading the team with 21 points-an aspect of his game that often flies under the radar.

Green's influence continues to spark debate

Green's ability to score has always been a topic of debate, and former NBA player Chandler Parsons had an interesting take on it after the game.

"If Draymond Green would've went to Charlotte or Washington early in his career, he probably could've averaged 20, 22 points a game… but that's never been his game in Golden State. It's never had to be," Parsons said.

Parsons' point highlights how Green's role with the Warriors has always been about much more than scoring.

While he's capable of putting up points when needed, his primary impact comes through defense, leadership, and playmaking.

In Golden State's system, he's never had to be the go-to scorer-he's been the glue guy, the emotional leader, and the anchor of their defense.

As the Warriors gear up for a tough six-game road trip, starting with the Atlanta Hawks on March 22, they'll need more of that same energy from Green and the rest of the squad-especially if Curry has to miss time.
