Utah Jazz Come Up Short In Rollercoaster Loss To Boston Celtics

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz fought hard and made it interesting at some points but ultimately fell short against the Boston Celtics on Friday.

Boston took off early and led by as much as 17 in the first half. The Jazz caught their stride before and after halftime, closing the lead all the way down to two. However, the Celtics buckled down and outscored the Jazz 50-30 in the last 18 minutes.

Collin Sexton led the way for Utah with 30 points on 75 percent shooting. Keyonte George brought 19 points and seven assists off of the bench.

The Utah Jazz are now 1-2 on their homestand and look forward to games against Cleveland, Memphis, and Houston.

Five minutes in and Celtics lead 14-7.

They’re shooting 62 percent from the floor and 57 percent from three.

More good defense from Cody Williams against the much bigger Porzignis.

Obviously his offense has a long way to go, but his defense is getting better every game.

Hardy keeps Key in the game. He’s good. https://t.co/GpVHCVT9NP

Keyonte George’s ability to get to his jump shot from his dribble is maybe his best, and most underrated skill.

He gets his shot off really quickly, and he’s seen his percentages climb to 41 percent from the floor and 35 percent from three since going to the second unit.

— Ben Anderson (@BensHoops) March 22, 2025

You watch a lot of young guys in the draft and they just struggle to transition from dribbling, to gathering, to shooting.

It’s really a natural process for Keyonte.

— Ben Anderson (@BensHoops) March 22, 2025

The Jazz trailed by 17, caught fire and cut it down to 2, and are now down by 20 with three minutes left. Rollercoaster. 🎢
