The Minnesota Timberwolves were fresh off a disappointing stretch when they lost two games to the Indiana Pacers and New Orleans Pelicans.
Now, the Timberwolves got their revenge, as they pummeled the Pelicans, 134 to 93. It was an impressive victory for the Timberwolves, even though Zion Williamson was a surprise scratch due to a lower back contusion.
It was an impressive result for the Timberwolves because they were dominant from the jump. They tried to give Joe Ingles a shot early on, but it ended up being a superb and well-rounded game for Minnesota.
Julius Randle was the standout with his scoring, as he had 20 points to pair with his six rebounds and five assists. Rudy Gobert had a 15-point and 11-rebound double-double, while five other players scored in double figures.

A Refreshing Result For The Timberwolves
After some rough games for the Timberwolves, they are back to their best. This was a well-rounded performance from the team, as they were imperious on defense and made almost every shot.
Minnesota was quite efficient with their offense, scoring 54 points in the paint, and shooting 43.2% from three on 44 attempts. Anthony Edwards had a solid game with 17 points, but he did not have to carry the team in this win.
The Pelicans had a depleted squad, as CJ McCollum led the team in scoring with 15 points. It was a rough night for the Pelicans after the big win a few days ago.

The Timberwolves Have Another Shot At Payback
Minnesota will visit the Indiana Pacers on Monday. Before their loss to the Pelicans, the Timberwolves lost in overtime against a short-handed Pacers team.
It will be interesting to see how the Timberwolves will fare in the rematch because the Pacers should have a more complete team. With the confidence Minnesota has gained from this blowout win against New Orleans, the next game should be promising for Chris Finch and his team.
The Timberwolves are aiming for a spot in the Playoffs, and every win will count in the race for the sixth seed against the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers.
