Just because the Premier League is on a two-week international break, it doesn’t mean there isn’t plenty happening in the world of Wolves.
There have been 11 Wolves players called up for international duty, and although just a few games have been played so far, some have already left their mark on the world stage.
Unfortunately, it isn’t all good news though. Although he is currently away with the Brazil squad, Matheus Cunha has learned his fate following his sending-off against Bournemouth last month.

Matheus Cunha ban extended
The FA have handed Matheus Cunha an extra one-game ban following his straight red card against Bournemouth in the FA Cup fifth round.
The Brazilian violently clashed with Milos Kerkez and, as a result, left referee Chris Kavanagh with no choice but to send him off just minutes before the game went to penalties.

Cunha was initially suspended for three games, but the FA’s decision to hand him a retrospective one-game ban means he will now miss Wolves’ match against Ipswich Town (Apr 5), as well as their upcoming home game against West Ham (Apr 1).
The South American’s first game back will be at home against Spurs (Apr 13) in the Premier League.
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Matt Doherty came country’s rescue
Matt Doherty’s first game of the March international break was against Bulgaria in the UEFA Nations League.
Thursday night saw the Republic of Ireland edge a 2-1 victory, and it was all thanks to Doherty, who scored the game’s winner.
The Irish media reacted positively to Doherty’s game-winning goal, claiming Thursday’s away tie in Bulgaria was “one of his best” in a green shirt.
First header of the season
The 33-year-old’s goal against Bulgaria saw him score a “very brave header”, according to his national manager.

Doherty’s goal is the first he’s scored with his head all season and would’ve delighted Vitor Pereira, who will certainly be casting a keen eye over how his players do during the current break.
Marshall Munetsi nets first-ever international goal
Doherty wasn’t the only Wolves player to get on the scoresheet this week.
Marshall Munetsi scored his first-ever goal for Zimbabwe during a World Cup Qualifying 2-2 draw against Benin.
Although Munetsi and his compatriots are unlikely to qualify and sit bottom of their group, the Wolves midfielder can be proud of his latest contribution.
Andre is club and country’s pass master
Andre is another player away on international duty. The midfielder has joined teammate Cunha on Brazil duty.

The pair didn’t start against Colombia on Thursday night, but Andre’s second half cameo saw him produce a fine passing display.
The midfielder recorded 100 per cent passing accuracy against Colombia — a fine display but one that won’t surprise Wolves fans who have been watching this season.
Andre’s passing accuracy ranks him sixth in the Premier League. The Brazil international has been consistent all season but the numbers he is producing will inevitably attract unwanted attention.
