Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Calafiori has sustained a grade one or grade two injury to the collateral ligament.
It means the 22-year-old will miss the second leg of Italy’s Nations League quarter-final in addition to several Arsenal fixtures.
Calafiori won’t be fit to face Real
The Italian is set to be ruled out for the Gunners’ next three league games against Fulham, Everton and Brentford.
There is also no chance that Calafiori will feature in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final versus Real Madrid at the Emirates but he is likely to be back for the second match at the Bernabeu.

While Calafiori won’t return to fitness directly after the international break, it is hoped that Bukayo Saka will be available. The winger has been out since December, having undergone surgery on a torn hamstring.
The Gunners are said to be optimistic that the England international could return to the bench for the game against Fulham, with the aim of starting versus Real.
Arsenal’s other injured players are not expected to return before the end of the season. Kai Havertz is out with a hamstring injury he picked up during the mid-season training camp in Dubai, while Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Jesus have both had knee operations.
Tomiyasu needed to undergo the knife to correct a chronic issue, while Jesus sustained an ACL during the FA Cup defeat to Manchester United back in January. The Brazilian may not be ready to start the 2025/26 campaign.
