Everything you need to know about West Ham United’s participation in the Premier League Summer Series 2025.

West Ham will get an early look at the 2026 World Cup venue this summer when they take place in a pre-season competition Stateside. It has become common place for Premier League teams to travel to the United States for pre-seasons, with the usual summer tours split between the US and Asia.

Clubs are on a constant mission to increase their worldwide presence, and it’s no secret that the US a huge market. Here we run you through what you need to know about West Ham’s participation in the Premier League Summer Series 2025.

What is the Premier League Summer Series 2025?

The Premier League Summer Series 2025 will see four teams go head-to-head in a pre-season competition across three locations. West Ham, AFC Bournemouth, Everton and Manchester United will face off with games split across New Jersey, Chicago, and Atlanta.

The three venues used will all be principally NFL venues, including the 2026 World Cup final stadium, which is MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The stadium that plays home to the New York Jets and Giants, holds a maximum capacity of 82,500, which is bigger than any Premier League venue by some way.

Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, will also host games, and that venue is usually home to the Chicago Bears. Soldier Field won’t have any World Cup games next summer, but Atlanta’s 71,000-seater Mercedes-Benz Stadium will, including the semi-finals. The Mercedes-Benz Arena plays home to the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United of MLS.

In terms of the competition, each team will play each other once, and the leader of the group come the end will lift the Premier League Summer Series 2025 trophy. Tickets for the competition are already available here.

When and where will West Ham play in the Premier League Summer Series 2025?

West Ham will kick off their Premier League Summer Series 2025 campaign against Manchester United at MetLife Stadium. That game will take place on Saturday, July 25.

The Hammers then head to Chicago to face Everton at Solider Field on Wednesday, July 30 before taking on Everton at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Sunday, August 3.

Potter has said of the competition: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to take part in the Premier League Summer Series in the United States this summer. It will be a huge honour to represent West Ham United in some amazing cities and at three iconic stadiums, in what will be a unique and exciting experience for everyone involved.

“I’m aware that we have a very dedicated, passionate and growing fanbase in the US, who often get up in the early hours to follow our matches. We are really looking forward to meeting our supporters - as well as potential new Hammers fans and the people and communities of New Jersey, Chicago and Atlanta - and playing in front of them against Premier League opponents to prepare for the 2025/26 season.”
