**Jacob Wright, Kellen Fisher and Onel Hernandez all featured for their countries yesterday on a busy international evening for Norwich City's players.**

Hernandez was the only one of the trio to start, playing on the right wing as Cuba lost 2-1 to Trinidad and Tobago in qualifiers for the Gold Cup.

The 32-year-old starred for Los Leones as they took an early lead, Yasniel Matos opening the scoring in the sixth minute. They were quickly pegged back when Isaiah Lee equalised, however, with Steffen Yeates' second-half strike deciding the game.

Cuba have the chance to make amends when they travel to the Ato Boldon Stadium for Tuesday's second leg, but they have a significant task on their hands to turn the tie around.

Fisher and Wright produced a more impressive result, helping England's Elite League Squad (formerly under-20s) to a 1-1 draw with Portugal.

They were both introduced on the 60th minute, the Manchester City loanee replacing Nico O'Reilly while his team-mate came on for Genoa's Brooke Norton-Cuffy.

Ex-Ipswich Town striker Dane Scarlett had broken the deadlock for the Young Lions, only for Portugal captain Diogo Monteiro to hit back in the 32nd minute.

Next up for England it's a friendly against Switzerland's under-21s, which takes place in Marbella on Monday evening.

Deadline day City signing Ruairi McConville's Northern Ireland tied with the Swiss senior team, but he was an unused substitute.
