Liverpool have been dealt another injury concern ahead of their upcoming dates with Fulham and West Ham.

Liverpool have suffered a fresh injury scare on Thursday with clashes with Fulham and West Ham fast-approaching. The Reds are streamrolling their way to the Premier League title, now in a dominant position at the top, 12 points clear.

Arne Slot’s men have been better than the rest and by some way this season, and they have earned place at the top. Liverpool have had some good luck with injuries along the way, though, at least until now.

But over the last week, Liverpool have been dealt a few injury concerns, and the latest involved goalkeeper Alisson Becker coming off with a head injury during Brazil’s 2-1 win over Colombia on Thursday night.

Alisson was forced off during the game, and Brazil’s team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar later provided an update. In quotes relayed by CNN Brazil, Lasmar said: “Alisson suffered a trauma to the head region, he was replaced by a suspected concussion. Now we will do all the CBF protocol, it will undergo recommended imaging tests, a computed tomography, then a resonance with diffusion.

“If all the tests are normal, we’ll follow up and do a cognitive test. And then we will evaluate the player. In the possibility that everything is normal, we will make a sequence of observations in the coming days. Today, we will do the tests, all the necessary evaluations. Alisson is normal, with no complaints. He reported no fainting and no memory loss. He thought it was a little slower. In this complaint, the recommended is the replacement of the player.”

Elsewhere, midfielder Ryan Gravenberch had to withdraw from the Netherlands squad with an injury he picked up in the Carabao Cup final, and so he will be a doubt. Meanwhile, Ibrahima Konate was forced off with a knock during France’s disappointing 2-0 defeat to Croatia in their Nations League quarter final first leg on Thursday night. The injury did not look serious, but Konate will add to the list of concerns Slot has coming out of the international period.

Liverpool face Everton next, and they then face London duo Fulham and West Ham on April 6 and April 13 respectively.
