Here is where United and City sit on the all-time Premier League table
Manchester United, and to a lesser extent Man City, have had a pretty torrid time over the last few years, with Man United in particular not being anywhere near the title-winning quality that they had during the Alex Ferguson years. City, under the incredible management of Pep Guardiola, were storming away with the Premier League title year after year until they ran into a stumbling block early this season.
With United being the dominant force for much of the 90s and the 00s and City being arguably the greatest team in the world for a lot of the late 2010s and early 2020s, where do they both rank when it comes to the All-Time Premier League table?

As of writing (21st March 2025), Man United actually sit atop the All-Time Premier League table, with Man City down in sixth. This is according to the all-time table that Transfermarktupdates after every Premier League game.
Where Man United and Man City sit on the all-time Premier League table
The dominance that United had throughout the 90s and 2000s under Alex Ferguson has really helped them here, with the club having played 1257 games and accruing 2538 points overall. City have overall played nearly 200 games less than their rivals, with 1067 games played and 1857 points earned. The run that Guardiola has managed to take the club on since joining in the 2016–17 season has certainly played a major part in getting them to climb the ranks.

Both sides are a far cry from where they were back in the days of Alex Ferguson, but that monumental run in the 90s and 00s with the club has helped them reach the summit of the All-Time Premier League table. It’s going to take some time before another club overtakes the Red Devils, but the club need to make some drastic changes to avoid an even bigger downfall over the next few years.
