Steven Gerrard is amongst the Reds' star-studded line-up as the Merseyside icon makes his return to the hallowed turf.
Meanwhile, the Chelsea squad is stacked with club legends, including Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Gianfranco Zola.
Old rivalries are reignited 20 years on from Liverpool's stunning 2004/05 season, which included an epic Champions League semi-final triumph over the Blues.
100 per cent of the proceeds from today's match will go to the LFC Foundation, as well as supporting beneficiaries, including Forever Reds, Chelsea FC Foundation and Chelsea Players’ Trust.

Wise picks his favourite game against Liverpool
Ahead of this afternoon's huge charity match, Dennis Wise revealed his favourite game he played against Liverpool.
The former England midfielder picked the Blues' win over the Reds at Anfield in 1992, when he scored the decisive goal in a 2-1 victory.
It was Chelsea's first win at the Merseyside club for almost 60 years!
Speaking pre-match, Wise said: "We had some good times up at Liverpool and we had some not so good times!
‘I remember I scored the winner once in a 2-1 win, that was a good one, but I definitely made a few mistakes up there and I think I was sent off too!’
