Serie A side Inter are plotting a move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma.
According to a [report](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Serie-A/Inter/22-03-2025/donnarumma-ammicca-all-inter-assalto-nel-2026.shtml?refresh_ce) by **Filippo Conticello** of **La Gazzetta dello Sport**, Inter are observing the situation regarding PSG’s Gigio Donnarumma’s contract renewal and will attempt a transfer this summer. The Italian goalkeeper’s contract with Les Parisiens ends in 2026 and there have been no talks of renewing it between the club and the player.
_“A certain San Siro fan base would like me here…? I’m very pleased, I’m happy. These are situations that will be seen later. In the meantime, I’m happy to be back,” –_ these were Donnarumma’s words after Italy’s 2-1 defeat to Germany in the first leg of the Nations League quarter-finals. This interview made it clear that the 26-year-old is aware of Inter’s interest and that he might return to Serie A.
The Nerazzurri will soon be searching for a new goalkeeper and Donnarumma is one of the best options on the market. However, his salary of around €12 million including fixed and variables poses a problem for Inter as they are not in a financial position to cover those.
