Bronny James of the Los Angeles Lakers has had a rookie season unlike any other.
Even though he hasn’t played much, he has been at the center of a ton of headlines, and some of them have been very negative.
James was recently praised because of his strongest performance yet, but people are still questioning his place in the league.
Speaking on his show, Gilbert Arenas talked about how the media treats James.
He said people have grown silent about James’ potential after some great performances in the G-League.
“There was a narrative that he’s not even good enough for the G League, then he started dominating, and now they’re quiet,” Arenas said, per NBACentral.

When the season began, a lot of critics said James had no place in the NBA and some said he wasn’t even prepared for the G-League.
They weren’t saying that as often after some star turns with the South Bay Lakers.
Still, there are many questions about James and whether he really is ready for the NBA.
His latest game against the Milwaukee Bucks was unquestionably strong, and he scored 17 points in 30 minutes.
But people will need to see more than just one good game before they change their tunes about James.
The problem is that the Lakers’ roster is so stacked and the competition is so fierce, which means he probably won’t get many minutes for the rest of the season.
That means next year might be the time when James can prove himself even more.
James has been attempting to make a statement all season and confirm he has a place in the league.
People are still questioning him, and they will for some time, but the critiques about him are becoming more and more quiet.
