Jordan Poole's second season with the Washington Wizards is going much better than his first year. After struggling the year after being traded to Washington, the former Golden State Warrior has taken the role of the number one option of the team quite well.
Against the Orlando Magic, Poole firmly planted his name in the Wizards' record books. Poole went 4-for-8 from the three-point line in the Wizards' loss to the Magic. With that, the guard has reached 203 made triples this season. According to the Wizards' PR account, Poole is only the fourth player in franchise history.
"Wizards G Jordan Poole has knocked down his 200th three-pointer of the season in tonight's game, becoming the fourth player in franchise history to connect on 200+ threes in a single season (joining G. Arenas, B. Beal, D. Bertans)," the post stated.
Poole dropped 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field. In addition, the Wizards guard had two rebounds and two assists. Unfortunately, the Wizards lost 120-105, and Poole ended up with a plus-minus of -25.
This season, Poole is averaging 20.4 points per game on 42.2% shooting from the field and 37.7% from deep. In addition, Poole has 4.6 assists per game and a surprising 1.4 steals per game. The Wizards guard has been showing out in his second season with his new team.
