Despite the attacking reinforcements being top priority, the midfield also need urgent attention. Both Thomas Partey and Jorginho are set to leave the club as free agent this summer. Hence, Gunners will need to replace them as soon as possible.
As of now, Martin Zubimendi is the top priority of the North London club. It will require his €60 million release clause to be triggered. However, Arsenal also have other options available in market out of which they have made a bid for one.

Guimaraes arrived to Newcastle in January 2022 and has been superb for them. He is now the club captain and has helped the Magpies to win their first every major trophy since 70 years. The club loves him and vice-versa and hence it will require Gunners to do something special in order to land him.
The transfer activity of Arsenal is expected to speed-up after the arrival of Andrea Berta. The Italian was said to make Guimaraes his top priority this summer. Hence, there is a high chance of Gunners exploring the Guimaraes deal once again in coming months.
