[Real Madrid](https://www.managingmadrid.com) midfielder Luka Modric talked in an interview with Telefoot where he shared some thoughts about his future and his current plans.
“Right now, I’m not thinking about retirement. But as I’ve always said: I’d like to retire at Real Madrid, which would be a dream for me. We’ll see what happens. There’s still a lot of the season left, and I want to focus on what remains, because there are many games ahead. We’ll see what happens. I’m in no hurry,” he said.
Modric's current contract expires next summer but the club will likely offer him yet another extension if the legend wishes to extend his career for another season. The Croatian midfielder has accepted his role as a reserve and key veteran, so while he cannot be expected to contribute the same way he did years ago, he's still a valuable player.
