Canadian MP Judy Sgro gave a speech in support of the Iranian people and their Organized Resistance (NCRI/PMOI) led by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi for a free, democratic, non-nuclear republic of Iran.
In a strongly worded letter addressed to French President Emmanuel Macron, Canadian Member of Parliament Judy A. Sgro has condemned what she calls the “exploitation of justice and media” to appease the Iranian regime. While welcoming the recent release of two French hostages from Iran, Sgro warned that such concessions—particularly when tied to defamatory attacks against the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) and its President-elect Maryam Rajavi—only embolden Tehran’s ongoing strategy of hostage diplomacy and repression.
She denounced recent allegations published in French media as recycled propaganda rooted in discredited claims from the Iranian regime and reaffirmed her long-standing support for Rajavi’s democratic vision for Iran. Sgro called for an immediate end to the misuse of democratic institutions to serve the interests of what she described as a “ruthless dictatorship.”
