A Sudanese activist group said that at least 45 people were killed when the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group, attacked a city in western Darfur on Saturday.
The Resistance Committees, an alliance of youth organizations tracking Sudan's ongoing war, announced that the RSF conducted attacks in the city of al-Maliha during the past two days.
At least 12 women were killed, as per the activists.

RSF takes control of the city
The RSF announced on Thursday that they had captured al-Maliha, a key city in North Darfur, near Chad and Libya borders.
According to the Sudanese military, they are fighting on many fronts, but they have not indicated that they lost the city.
Al-Maliha is approximately 200 kilometers (125 miles) to the north of el-Fasher, which is still controlled by the Sudanese army even in the face of constant attack from the RSF.
Earlier, the Sudanese army seized control of the main headquarters of the central bank, Reuters reported. The army is advancing towards the capital against rival paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The takeover occurred a day after they took complete control of the presidential palace in what would be a big victory in a two-year-old war with the RSF that has threatened to divide the nation.
