How to watch Warriors vs. Hawks

The Golden State Warriors begin their final multi-game road trip of the season with Saturday night’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. The game will be played at 4:00 PM PT in Atlanta and can be watched on NBA TV and NBC Sports Bay Area.

Previously with the Warriors:

The Warriors capped off a successful 6-1 homestand with a 117-114 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night. However, the win was overshadowed by an injury to Stephen Curry who suffered a pelvic contusion after a hard fall in the third quarter forced him to leave the game early.

With Curry sidelined, the Warriors saw several players rise to the occasion. Draymond Green, Brandin Podziemski, and Quinten Post all stepped up in the shooting department, combining for 14 of Golden State’s 19-made three-pointers. Additionally, Jimmy Butler added another triple-double to his Dubs’ resume, contributing 16 points, 12 assists, and 11 rebounds. Butler also delivered the game-sealing block that secured the victory late in the fourth quarter.

What to watch for tonight:

Tonight, the Warriors will be without Curry after an MRI on Friday confirmed that he suffered a pelvic contusion. While there were no signs of structural damage, the Warriors have opted to keep him out for the start of their six-game road trip to allow for proper healing.

Steph Curry will not travel with the Warriors to Atlanta today, per source. MRI confirmed a pelvic contusion. He will miss Saturday's game at the Hawks. Re-evaluated on Monday. Warriors six-game trip continues on Tuesday night in Miami.

Despite Curry’s absence, the matchup against the Hawks should still be an interesting one. After winning five of their first six games in the month of March, Atlanta has now lost two of their last three. However, during this month, they rank tenth in overall net rating powered by a strong offense that ranks seventh in the NBA (119.7).

For the Warriors, tonight’s game marks a critical point in their season. With only 12 games remaining, this road trip will likely determine whether Golden State can maintain the six seed in the West and avoid the Play-In Tournament. They only hold a one game lead on the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Clippers, so with Curry on the mend, the Warriors will need to dig deep and continue their strong play in order to keep their playoff positioning intact.

Jimmy Butler on the Warriors need to play “perfect” basketball if Steph Curry misses time
