There has been a ton of conjecture and speculation about which direction the Cleveland Browns will go with the No. 2 overall pick in this year's NFL Draft.
With the current need at quarterback, the consensus has been that Cleveland will select either Miami's Cam Ward or Colorado's Shedeur Sanders with the No. 2 pick, depending on what the Tennessee Titans do at No. 1.
Recent reports indicate Ward could go No. 1 to the Titans, which would leave Sanders for the Browns. But Sanders' draft stock seems to have taken a hit since the Scouting Combine and is no longer a sure thing to go in the top 10.
That being the case, the Browns could go defense with their top pick, and most draft experts have Penn State's Abdul Carter as the top defensive player available.
Carter is now the betting favorite to go to Cleveland at No. 2 at -125 per DraftKings. Ward is a -700 favorite to go to the Titans at No. 1.
The other possibility is a trade back for the Browns to gain some additional draft capital. But the thought of pairing Carter with the newly extended Myles Garrett on the defensive line could be too appealing.
