Giants Draft Target Reveals Tom Brady’s Advice

The Las Vegas Raiders have long been considered a potential landing spot for Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, an idea that's only been exacerbated by minority owner Tom Brady's increased involvement in the organization.

But before Brady was headlining Las Vegas' search for a new regime-and quarterback-he was the greatest passer of all time, a sought-out mentor, and a North Star to young quarterbacks of a similar mold.

The Raiders also traded for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith in March, a quality starter who might be asked to take a rookie under his wing at some point, potentially as soon as April.

Standing in Brady's way is the New York Giants, one of the few teams in more desperate need of fresh blood under center.

The Giants draft target revealed Brady's advice as he begins his transition to the NFL.

"I would say when we spoke, the most in-depth I'll say was early on in my college career," Sanders told NFL Network. "So a lot of things that he would speak on wouldn't register to me until like now. So, now my plan for the next couple of weeks and next couple of months is go back and rewatch all the footage that we talked about. And now register more and how you're saying, 'Turn your hips when you're throwing, create torque.' And all that stuff."

If Brady is holding out hope for Sanders in Sin City, he got some good news on Friday. New York signed Jameis Winston to a two-year, $8 million deal worth up to $16 million with.

Now, that is firmly backup quarterback money, and thus isn't disqualifying to making another move. A veteran starter like Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson remains in play, and a rookie certainly isn't out of the question. If the Giants do add another starting-caliber quarterback, though, it becomes a bit harder to imagine New York spending its first-round pick on a prospective third-stringer.

The Raiders will pick sixth (barring a trade), and would immediately become the favorite for Sanders' services if he gets past the third pick.

Wherever he lands, Sanders will bring an accurate, decisive skill set with more than enough experience in the spotlight to thrive. From there, it might come down to just how well he uses Brady's advice, both on and off the field.
