Rumors: Liverpool ace Luis Diaz holding out for Barca move

Luis Diaz continues to be linked with a move to Barcelona this summer and is said to be ready to wait for the Catalan giants.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Diaz is currently waiting to see if Barcelona will make a move at the end of the season.

The Colombia international has been at Liverpool for four years, and has two left on his contract, but wouldn’t hesitate to head to Spain if Barca came calling.

Diaz is a lifelong Barcelona fan and, as his father has already admitted, has always dreamed of wearing the Blaugrana at some point in his career.

The forward remains a key player for Liverpool but this summer promises to be an interesting one at Anfield.

The Reds have Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk all coming to the end of their contacts and potentially able to leave on free transfers.

Liverpool are also said to want to sign Alexander Isak, meaning an exit for Diaz could be sanctioned to raise funds for the Newcastle striker.

The problem for Barcelona, as always, is that Diaz is expected to cost around €70 million euros which may be out of the club’s reach.
