Stephen Curry's absence proved to be too much for the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night.
While the superstar guard is out with a pelvic injury he suffered in the club's recent contest against the Toronto Raptors, the Warriors hit the road to take on the Atlanta Hawks.
Up until the game, the Warriors were in incredible form, as they had won 16 of 19 games since Jimmy Butler arrived at the trade deadline.
While Golden State has won eight of their past ten games, even with the 124-115 loss to the Hawks, the loss was a stinger.
Butler was superb in the box score, contributing 25 points on 7-of-15 shooting while getting to the charity stripe on 14 occasions.
Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski were brilliant in their own regard, adding 20 and 19 points.
Still, being without Curry -- who could have singlehandedly erased the Hawks' lead in the game -- proved to be too much for Golden State.
According to Draymond Green, the loss was flat-out unacceptable.
Draymond Green sounds off after Warriors' loss
While the Warriors were in superb form prior to the game -- and can bounce back next game -- Green understands the team needs to be sharper with the playoffs on the horizon.
"Bad loss. It's a terrible loss. Eleven games left with everything to play for, you shouldn't have a loss like this," Green said.

Evidently, if the Warriors are going to make a push for banner No. 5, they are going to need to have every ball roll their way on top of being sharp with what they can control.
Golden State has proven as of late they can be a title-caliber team, but can they maintain that form well into April and May?
