CHERRIES captain Abby Jones will aim to rile up her teammates to get them up for a big game against Bristol Rovers in the final moments before kick off.
Jones will lead AFC Bournemouth out at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday, as they face Rovers with a chance to seal the National League Division One South West title.
Asked what her process is to motivate her teammates in the final team talk, Jones told the Daily Echo: “We have a team huddle just out on the pitch right before the first whistle goes before the game.
“I think I have to read the room, read the huddle, see how everyone's feeling, how everyone's emotions are as we walk out onto the pitch.
“But I know there's lots of leaders in the team who help me out with that.
“They say a small one line or a little sentence to get us motivated. But I think Sunday will be a case of keeping everyone focused on the task ahead, knowing that we've got to win the game.
“But definitely I'm going to be riling the team up, making everyone get up for the game and yeah, so hopefully that works.”
