Hansi Flick’s side finished second in the group phase and then saw off Benfica in the last 16 to set up a date with the Bundesliga side.
Meanwhile, favourites Liverpool were knocked out by PSG, and Thiago thinks Barca are now the team to beat in the competition.
“Barça is, without a doubt, one of the favourites to win the Champions League, the facts prove it,” he told Sport.
If Barcelona do beat Dortmund then they could potentially face Inter, in a rerun of the epic semi-final between Guardiola and Mourinho, but Thiago says it will be nothing like that game.
“Yes, it’s a possibility. Inter will first have to face Bayern Munich and it will not be easy. If it happened, I don’t think it would be a rematch as such. Too many things have changed: times, teams, protagonists.
“It would be nice if they met again, I’m sure it would be a great game and a great show.”
