Luka Doncic Under Fire Over Heated Gesture on Ref in Lakers-Bulls

Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard Luka Doncic can be a fiery character on the court, and he showed a little bit of that during the third quarter of Saturday night's game against the visiting Chicago Bulls at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

After made shot by Bulls guard Kevin Huerter off an offensive rebound midway through the third quarter, Doncic ran back on offense but got caught shoving Chicago guard Josh Giddey with his left arm right in front of referee Jason Goldenberg. Donci was eventually slapped with a technical foul after a short discussion between Goldenberg and ref JT Orr.

Later on, Doncic was captured on video bluntly pleading his case to another game official, Courtney Kirkland.

"He hit me first, I'm gonna hit him back that's [expletive]," Doncic was heard saying to Kirkland.

It did not take long for fans to react online to Doncic's technical foul and subsequent action.

"Luka as great as a player he is such a baby lmfao never seen a superstar cry like this," said a fan.

Another one said: "Why do these players pretend to be shocked when it's literally in 4k, it will never make sense to me"

From another commenter: "Cry harder Luka"

Another social media user echoed that sentiment: "Crybaby Luka"

"It's really something wrong with dude lol," one commented.

"lol did it right in front of the ref and still had the audacity to ask what did he do," an X user posted.

In any case, Giddey and the Bulls had the last laugh, as they escaped Tinseltown with a 146-115 victory over the Lakers. Giddey had an incredible triple-double of 15 points, 17 assists and 10 rebounds. Doncic, on the other hand, had 34 points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Lakers, who dropped to 43-26.
