Geordie Boot Boys have been told that Newcastle United are looking at Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino.
The Magpies are set to be very active this summer, with Newcastle wanting three outfield signings.
The most important position that Newcastle will target is right wing, with Jacob Murphy the only natural option that Eddie Howe has in that department.
As Toon scouts aim to find someone who can compliment Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon in attack, a player in La Liga has caught their attention.
Yeremy Pino is ‘one to watch’ for Newcastle United
That is according to TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey, who has told Geordie Boot Boys that Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino is on the Magpies’ transfer radar.

“Yeremy Pino is a player who they like,” he said.
“He is a very good right winger who perhaps goes under the radar and does not get the plaudits he deserves. Newcastle like him and he is one to watch for that right-hand side.”
The 22-year-old is a Spain international, and has a contract with Villarreal until 2027. He has a release clause worth £67million, which would make him Newcastle’s most expensive signing ever if the Magpies were to activate it.

Newcastle’s record signing is currently Alexander Isak, who arrived from Villarreal’s La Liga rivals Real Sociedad.
Pino would be a fascinating addition to Eddie Howe’s squad. The winger has seven assists in 25 appearances this season, which is two fewer than Jacob Murphy.
Standing at just 5ft 8in tall, Pino is a very strong dribbler who works hard off the ball. That will make him appeal to the Newcastle United manager.
Pino’s teammate also catches Newcastle United’s eye
However, Pino is not the only Villarreal player who Newcastle United scouts have been paying attention to.
Bailey has told Geordie Boot Boys that Thierno Barry has also caught the eye. He is a 22-year-old striker who joined the La Liga club in 2024 for £12.6million. Barry has scored eight times for Villarreal this season.
“Newcastle have been doing a lot of work at Villarreal,” he added.
“They quite like the young striker Thierno Barry. They’ve been impressed with him. He’s one who the scouts have liked. He would be one for the future, with a lot of Premier League clubs looking at him.”
Newcastle are set to be in the market for a striker this summer, regardless of what happens to Alexander Isak.
It looks likely that the Magpies will need to replace Callum Wilson, whose Toon contract is set to expire.
