Lebanon's President General Joseph Aoun warned of attempts to drag Lebanon back into a cycle of violence once again.
According to the Lebanese Presidency's Media Office, President Aoun considered the non-compliance with the ceasefire deal in southern Lebanon, along with the incidents transpiring there since Feb. 18, 2025, as a persistent assault on Lebanon and a blow to the rescue plan that all Lebanese people have agreed upon.
He appealed to all of Lebanon's friends to pay attention to what is being plotted against Lebanon, calling on all relevant forces in southern Lebanon, particularly the monitoring committee established under the November 2024 agreement, and the military, to seriously monitor developments to avoid any repercussions.
Many towns in southern Lebanon came under a new Israeli mortar shelling at dawn on Saturday.
