The 'staggering' sums Everton are set to charge for VIP boxes at Bramley-Moore Dock - journalist

It won’t be long now until Everton move into their new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.

The 2024/25 season is heading into the final straight, with most Premier League clubs now having just nine games left to play.

For Everton fans, there are mixed emotions.

The new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock – which holds its second test event today – is truly a feat of engineering, and there is huge excitement for the club’s new chapter to begin later this year.

But there is also sadness at bidding farewell to the iconic Goodison Park.

Now, there is word of how much VIP boxes are set to cost at the new stadium.

It has been reported this morning by Alan Nixon via his Patreon that Everton are set to charge ‘staggering’ sums to hire out their executive boxes at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Apparently, the Toffees have already reached out to wealthy fans and businesses about potential takeup of these special boxes.

According to Nixon, Everton are set to charge over £200,000 per season for the best boxes at Bramley-Moore Dock.

Nixon adds: “Many have snapped up the smaller package deals and season tickets for ‘posh’ seats but some of the most expensive are yet to be filled.”

There is a suggestion that it could be a challenge to fill up these more expensive boxes and seats, given the club’s status as ‘the people’s club’ and that Goodison Park had limited corporate facilities.

What The Friedkin Group are leaving behind at Goodison Park

One would imagine that Everton will soon fill those executive boxes for next season, with wealthy fans surely keen to seal the best seats in the house at the new world-class stadium.

It will be interesting to see what nods there will be to Goodison Park at BMD.

Some Everton fans recently noticed the Leitch-inspired design of the glass feature on the south stand is potentially one nod to Goodison.

Goodison won’t be demolished, and it was therefore recently claimed that The Friedkin Group will not be moving two of club statues.

The statues of Dixie Dean and the Trinity will remain where they are, but fans will wait to see if TFG do decide to incorporate some more of Everton’s history into BMD.
