The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is the 21st edition of the competition, and just like the Champions League in the 2024/2025 season, comes with an expanded format. Since 2005, the tournament had been held annually in December, until in 2023, FIFA confirmed that it would be held in the USA as a prelude to the World Cup in 2026.
Hosted across various stadiums in America, the tournament will run from June 14 to July 13, with a total of 32 teams being selected thanks to their performances in their respective domestic leagues and continental club competitions. As well as Lionel Messi's Inter Miami, the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City will be among the teams competing for the trophy, while historic South American sides River Plate and Boca Juniors will also be there.
Given the sheer number of top-class teams competing for the trophy, and the big names that are likely to be on show, the 2025 Club World Cup is set to be one of the most-watched iterations of the tournament since its inception. But just how can fans around the globe be able to watch it?
Where to Watch FIFA Club World Cup 2025
With 63 matches taking place over the course of the tournament, the Club World Cup is set to be a busy one, but thankfully for fans watching around the globe, they will not have to channel hop or keep track of where the games will be shown.
That is because FIFA confirmed back in December 2024, that all the games will be shown for free globally, and that DAZN - the world's current largest sports streaming platform - will be leading the way by showcasing every match.
I am delighted to announce that FIFA, in partnership with DAZN and FIFA+, will bring the best of club football for free to everywhere in the world, meaning that every single football fan across the globe can watch the best players from the 32 best clubs compete in the new FIFA Club World Cup to be the first official ‘FIFA Club World Champions’. FIFA President Gianni Infantino
Because of that landmark agreement, if you are already a DAZN subscriber, then the Club World Cup will already become a part of your membership. However, if you haven't yet signed up, all you have to do is use your email address to register a free account on the DAZN website, with no hidden costs or fees added. You will then be able to watch every game on the DAZN app via your TV, computer, phone or even on your games console.

Given the extended format of the competition, it is no surprise that this year's Club World Cup is set to be the longest in terms of timescale with the full tournament lasting for up to a month. The first game will kick off on June 14, before the final - which will take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey - on July 13. That opening contest will see Lionel Messi's Inter Miami take on Ah-Ahly at the Hard Rock Stadium, and will start the group stages of the competition.

Which Teams Have Qualified for the Club World Cup
Real Madrid
While some big teams like Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will be among the teams representing the UEFA contingent, there are some high-profile sides who will be missing out. The likes of Barcelona, Arsenal and Manchester United, among others, will not be taking part by virtue of their recent performances in the league and Champions League. Indeed, Chelsea's participation in the competition is as a result of them winning that latter prize a few years ago under Thomas Tuchel, with that season still being counted as part of the selection process.
Elsewhere, Inter Miami, who of course, can count upon the likes of Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba among their playing staff, are the nominated 'hosts' of the tournament and are thus also qualified for the tournament. However, football fans who might have been eager to see Messi's footballing contemporary Cristiano Ronaldo also take part in the tournament will feel let down, as the Portuguese superstar's Al Nassr side failed to make the cut. Instead, it is fellow Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal who will be representing the nation at the tournament.
